Racing History

My Dad first won the Hot Rod World Championship when I was 2 months old and I was well and truly brought up with racing as a way of life.

When I was 15 I got my ministox. My first meeting was Boxing Day 1991 at Aldershot and by the May I had my first trophy for 2nd place at Wisbech closely followed by the first of many wins at my old home track Arlington.

I raced the ministox all over the country including Arlington, Aldershot, Wimbledon, Wisbech, Birmingham, Hednesford, Ringwood, Buxton and Skegness.

When I had to retire from ministox at 17 I had a bit of a break from racing, I always planned to race something else at some point it just took a bit longer than anticipated.

Both of my two brothers have also raced; Stephen was ministox European and National Points Champion and  won the Hot Hatch series on the circuits. David was also very succesful in ministox and is currently a top runner in the awesome BriSCA F2's.

Needless to say I am my Dads biggest fan, he has won everything there is to win in Hot Rods and has also done Rallying, Historic Circuit Saloons, Lightning Rods, Stock Rods and Super Rods to name just a few. He still talks about getting back out in a racing car which I would love to see as everytime he comes out of retirement he shows everyone he still has the magic.
